The following listing of Mail Message Rules consists of my title followed by the generated rule each of which was and has to be manually entered. The numbers in the title help to move rules UP or DOWN into place. The primary purpose of the Mail Message Rules is to filter out SPAM. When the text is checked it is the readable text that is actually checked. Names have been changed for examples. The 01.10 Alerts copies message to a separate folder to alert me that something important has come in. I will delete these copies manually before looking at INBOX. But this way I do not rush out of browsing a newsgroup only to find that the INBOX message was of no interest. I rely on people I know that can send me messages with certain words to be in my address book so that I can reasonably exclude email with words like "teenage", "mortgage" etc. Obviously someone in Real Estate or banking might not want to eliminate email with mortgage from strangers if that is their business.
