Chrome Browser extensions I use.  I'd like to know what extensions you use along with a description.  I recently replaced small laptop and only have Chrome on it -- https://www.evernote.com/pub/dmcritchie/acgnj

For this meeting thought we'd go over Grammarly which you can install on your system, and extensions in your browser.  Used in your browser you can check your email and website pages for spelling and grammar errors.  You need to use a bookmarklet to put a webpage into edit mode so that Grammarly can used, on Windows anyway this is just for checking as the browsers in Windows cannot actually change or save the source file. -- https://www.evernote.com/pub/dmcritchie/acgnj

Will go over my Chrome extensions and my Chrome bookmarks. How to read articles on paywall sites.

Vivaldi and Brave are based on Chrome and most browsers can use Chrome extensions. Basically, I've found enough to work with even though they may not be as robust as Firefox extensions used to be.

7:30 PM 3rd Monday January thru December, we meet every month, unless otherwise cancelled.  Most meetings do not begin with a specific topic.

Please bring your laptops, we have WiFi, tables, and electrical outlets available. SIG meetings are breakout groups and are more hands-on than just presentations. Having your laptop allows you to install extensions, bookmarklets, use online tools, solve problems, and demonstrate or test things while on site.

We meet on the second floor of the Scotch Plains Rescue Squad and parking is free in the two large lots nearby. Parking next to the building is reserved for Rescue Squad members.

Meetings are open to the public and are free. We rely on membership dues as part of ACGNJ (acgnj.org) to pay for facilities we use and other expenses.

I have notes for web browsers and other topics on my webpages and share additional notes in Evernote. I used to be active in Excel when Microsoft had newsgroups.

We meet every third Monday of each month unless marked cancelled.  (Google Voice Number)

Guests are always welcome, we have Wi-Fi connection and tables for laptops, tablets, or whatever you want to carry in.

Priorities are always for those that have questions.  My main interests are browser usage.  Dolphin on Android tablets, and Firefox on desktops.  If you have a specific question you can always email me.

Web Browser SIG meetings are third Monday of each Month at 7:30 PM

Rain or shine.  Notes for some individual meetings may or may not appear above.

Learning content of Menus

One place to start learning what is available in an application is through its menus.  The important thing to know is that something can be done and is available, it's a lot easier to find something if you know what you are looking for.  Some pages to help.
