FaceID browser for Microsoft Office
 

 


Microsoft Office menus contain a lot more icons which are hidden from the general user. These can be suitably used by developers for their customized solutions. However determining the FaceID value of a particular icon can be time consuming. FaceID browser is a tool which is just right for the task. It's quick & simple. Check it out.

Microsoft PowerPoint 97 and later

Installation instructions:

  • Unzip the file.

  • Launch PowerPoint

  • Select Tools | Add-ins.

  • Click Add new... locate & select the add-in IDBrowse.ppa. Click on OK. Click on Close.

  • If the FaceID Browser toolbar isn't visible then select View | Toolbars| FaceID Browser.


Microsoft Word 97 and later

Installation instructions:

  • Unzip the file into the Startup folder.

  • Launch Word

  • If the FaceID Browser toolbar isn't visible then select View | Toolbars| FaceID Browser.


Microsoft Excel 97 and later

Installation instructions:

  • Unzip the file.

  • Launch Excel

  • Select Tools | Add-ins.

  • Click Browse... locate & select the add-in IDBrowse.xla. Click on OK. Click on OK again.

  • If the FaceID Browser toolbar isn't visible then select View | Toolbars| FaceID Browser.


Microsoft Office 2000 and later VBE COM Add-in *

Installation instructions:

  • Run the setup file and follow instructions.

  • Launch any Microsoft Application, Press Alt+F11 to switch to VBE

  • Select Add-in | Add-in Manager..., check that FaceID Browser is listed in the available add-ins and is loaded. Click on OK

  • If the FaceID Browser toolbar isn't visible then select View | Toolbars| FaceID Browser.

Un-Installation instructions:

  • Select Start| Settings | Control Panel & double-click Add/Remove programs.

  • Select FaceID Browser from the program list & click on the  Add/Remove... button.

* requires Visual Basic 6 runtimes present on the target system
