Music Span: add-in for PowerPoint

With this add-in you can play and loop a custom audio track across slides. You can play a single clip across slides or play different clips for each slide. The supported audio formats are WAV/MP3/WMA/MIDI.

How does it work:

Music span add-in will store the information within the presentation in the form of tags. This information is read during slide show and the relevant action is performed. If you have chosen to play a file, it will check for the presence of the audio file at that location and play. You can loop an audio file across slides or just a single slide. When a slide changes it checks for store settings, if it is unable to obtain them it performs the default action.

Music span looks for the set audio at the specified location and if not found it will search in the presentation folder for them.

Note: Music Span settings saved in the presentation work only on computers which have Music Span installed. Music Span does not work with the PowerPoint viewer since it does not support VBA.

Free music:

For Music Span users, PowerPointed is offering a free promotional product that includes 100 royalty-free background MIDI scores that you can use within your presentations. All these music scores are seamless and can be looped indefinitely.

Usage

How to set a default action: Default action applies to all slides which don't have any settings. For example, if you wish to apply background score from the 1st slide which should play thru 15th slide then you need to set action to only 2 slides, the 1st slide to begin playing the sound and the 16th slide to stop playing the sound, provided the default action is to continue playing the sound otherwise the audio stops as soon as it moves to the 2nd slide if the default action is 'Stop playback'. This is an application level setting.

1. Select 'Tools | Music Span | Music Span defaults...', to bring up the dialog shown below.

2. Set the desired options.
