Eric C. Vogel works for a small employee benefits firm in Metro Detroit as a Systems Coordinator / IT Manager. He managers a Small Business Server 2003 (Windows Server Systems 2003, Exchange Server 2003, IIS 6.0, ISA 2000 and SQL 2000), with clients running Windows XP Professional, Windows 2000 (For older machines) and Office XP Pro (Outlook 2003 & FrontPage 2003).

Vogel was chosen as a Microsoft Windows XP Associate Expert in May 2001, and was given the Windows XP MVP award for the 2001-2002 award year in October 2001 and Windows Shell / User MVP award for the 2002-2003, & 2003-2004 award year. He has been in the computer industry for 8 years, and has worked for a community college, a automotive supplier for the Big 3 and foreign car makers. He has also worked for a consulting firm in Texas, which contracted him for a three month contract to a large corporation, which had him working at one of the Big 3 auto manufactures tech center here in Michigan.

Vogel operates a mailing list about computers and helps assists users with their computer issues. The list has people from all over the globe and from novice computer knowledge to others that have been in the industry for some time. One user has his MCSE, MCP+I, MCP, A+, Network+, Cisco and I-Net+ certifications. With such a community like this, almost all issues get answered.

Vogel Also patrols the Windows XP Newsgroups on Microsoft's Public Newsgroups popping in here and there and helping users.
